Where I am going...

In 2008 I finished the graduation course in dance in the arts college of Parana, and therefore, I developed a theoric-practical research where I discuss the possibility of a single human body appearing bidimensional and being fragmented. For this I based my research on the Gestalt theory and the recent discovers of the neurological sciences of perception, chiefly the visual perception. The main idea is to research how the body can appear bidimensional and fragmented to whom is watching, though not using multimedia devices. The research found its finalization in an scientific article where I explain the relation within the theories and the practical process and also in a artistic performance where my body relates to a stretched piece of cloth. During the development I identified similarities to two other dance projects: “Self Unfinished” of Xavier Le Roy and “OP1” of Phila 7 Dance Company.
My performance entitled “Corpo entre Fundos”, had its debut in November 2008 but is still in the process of development because the process itself is not completed yet. I intent to continue the research trying to answer three major question which arose: What happens in the space of relation between body and cloth?, How does the audience and the body which is dancing perceive the action of this fragmented body?
Still in 2008 I developed another research within the Research Center of the FAP Dance Group, coordinated by Luciana Navarro. It developed starting from an choreographic investigation focused in the studies of body positioning , dislocation, alteration of body conditions and real time composition. Starting up from the condition of an exposed female body a reflection about the limits between the daily experiences and fictional body constructions is proposed. This performance has its influences in artworks of Vanessa Beccroft, Pipilotti Rist and Cindy Sherman. The real time composition “Não Expor ao Sol” which is based on a wide prior arranged sequence was initiated in a trio now is continued only by me dancing a Solo.
I’m interested in somatic techniques, mostly the Alexander technique, BMC and the Feldenkrais method. Among the artist which influenced me and with whom I identify myself or I simply admire are: Thomas Lehmen, Jérome Bell,Lalala Human Step, Pina Bausch, Dani Lima, Grupo Cena 11, Siedler Cia de Dança, Kandinsky, Lygia Clark and many more.
I would like to mention that I also developed many works as a artistic producer, which allowed me to take a profound inside glance into the work which happens backstage such as illumination, bureaucratic processes and bookkeeping.
